Dr. Christopher Welch
I have found it important to work with each patient to examine areas where they may have become “stuck”, and determine ways they can address and overcome these lingering difficulties, liberating them from obstacles which have heretofore impeded change and enhanced life fulfillment. I have a particular interest in and familiarity with assisting patients with challenges associated with the myriad changes and transitions that occur during adolescence through early adulthood such as perceived inadequacy, identity, and intimate relationships. I am also committed to building trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationships, and view them as a crucial foundational element to any successful therapy, facilitating self-discovery and emotional healing.
Dr. Welch works at Azimuth Psychological. Azimuth is a lifestyle-focused psychological services company specializing in helping clients with mood, transitions, relationships, and performance problems stemming from a broad range of psychological issues. Azimuth was founded on the idea that many real-world problems cannot be resolved through a single clinical approach. By employing only doctoral-level psychologists who are each trained in a variety of treatment modalities, Azimuth allows our clinicians to be as flexible and dynamic as our clients need them to be.
