I have provided mental health services to a myriad of patient populations for eight years. During my childhood, whenever the adults would ask me what it was that I wanted to be when I grew up, my answer was never concrete. It was always "I want to help people". It was then, and still is now, very much enmeshed in who I am as a person to help those around me. Therefore it was a no brainer that I went on to Boston College as an undergrad and chose Psychology as a major. I felt that it only made sense to learn about people, their behaviors, and how they thought, in order to be in the best position to help them. Since then, I went on to obtain my Master in Mental Health Counseling and have enjoyed very much waking up everyday to help others to overcome barriers in their lives in order to reach their true potential.
I am a helper through and through. I will go above and beyond for my clients because I believe everyone deserves to have a person who does that in their corner. My work with children, adolescents, and young adults allows me to form relationships with families and to help transform their lives in significant ways. I truly cannot think of anything else I'd rather wake up everyday to do.
When I'm not with clients, I also enjoy blogging about existential subject matters, practicing Yoga, getting lost in another person's imagination through a great book, and most of all spending time with my husband and our two sons.
