Good therapy happens when clients feel respected and understood. I listen, talk, interpret, untangle; I offer individualized talk therapy for life transitions and stressors including Loss, Relationships Issues, Trauma, and Existential Issues across the lifespan. Together we can identify goals, overcome obstacles, and help you make positive change.
I earned my Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University where I studied Politics and Philosophy, and earned my Master of Social Work from Boston University. In addition to inpatient and outpatient work at McLean Hospital and the VA in Bedford, MA, I spent over a decade teaching and counseling in schools including extensive work with at-risk teens and their parents.
I bring expertise in intergenerational and relational issues to my work with clients suffering stubborn, "treatment resistant" depression and with clients experiencing symptoms associated with various personality disorders (including BPD). My experience, including with survivors of trauma, informs a calm, kind, collaborative approach to therapy. I hope to hear from you and be of help.
