Welcome.  I know how difficult and intimidating the process of finding a therapist can be.  Thank you for spending the time to visit my page.  As the majority of the therapeutic process depends on the relationship between therapist and client, I invite you to see if we could be a good match to start your work.

If you are here, you have identified that there are things going on for you that are getting in the way of you achieving your goals and feeling good in day to day life.  This may be feelings of depression- lack of motivation, feeling lost, feeling disconnected- or feelings of anxiety- worry about measuring up or failure, not knowing where to begin, feeling inadequate in some way.  Perhaps you have found yourself struggling in your relationships- not sure where you stand with others or often finding yourself in distress or conflict with others.

If you identify with any of the above, I’m hopeful I can be of help.  I have experience working with a range of mental health issues, from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, substance abuse and disorders of the self (personality disorders).  Through my work in emergency services and intensive, community based services, I have a knowledge of all aspects of the mental health system and can help you navigate and access services that will benefit your recovery.

Together we will review your goals and what you feel is getting in the way of achieving these goals as well as the strengths you have that will help you achieve these goals. I have advanced training in trauma studies, cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. My general focus is on helping you access your strengths and work through the barriers to better understand yourself, your network and how to move closer to your personal values.

If you are interested in learning more or seeing if we might be a good fit to work together, please contact me.  Please note that I am available for appointments outside of regular business hours and, if appropriate, I sometimes also meet clients in their private homes or in the community. I look forward to hearing from you!
