I hope that when a client leaves my office after a session, an impact has been made and something is different and better for them. Are you a parent who feels confused and frustrated after your child has been diagnosed with ADHD? Or a student who is battling anxiety and stress? Or a teenager who is struggling with multi-tasking and making friends?  Or a family who is tired of fighting and wants positive solutions? I can help.

I have 17 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy with Solution Focused Brief Therapy while focusing on solutions and healthy coping. When working with young children I employ a variety of play therapy techniques which helps even teenagers feel very comfortable with me right away.

I have a practical, warm, and easy-going style that provides for a safe and judgment-free counseling experience. My approach always emphasizes strengths, helping clients discover their own answers, and teaching new skills for better coping and a enhanced life experience.

In addition to my private practice, I am the Head of the Counseling Department at Excel Academy Charter School and an adjunct professor at Boston College Graduate School of Social Work. Having first hand experience in and knowledge of schools and academia helps me with the treatment process with all clients.
