Dr. Kenneth Reich

I am a psychologist/ psychoanalyst with a private practice in Cambridge, MA. just outside of Harvard Square. I work with people interested in change, who may also be facing choices and want assistance in order to achieve that change. I offer individual and couple therapy, long and short- term, with an
intrapsychic, relational and systems driven approach. My early training at Massachusetts General Hospital, graduate training at Boston University and post doctoral training at the Massachusetts
Institute for Psychoanalysis, were all important learning experiences, but none has been as transformative as the lessons I have learned from the people that work with me. I’ve learned in my clinical practice of over forty years that we are all looking for a safe place that reduces suffering and distress while offering hope for what is possible. And I understand building empathy and respect for others as a foundation for a trust that makes confronting one’s pain possible.

Outside my clinical practice, I continue to supervise clinicians at Harvard Medical School’s Cambridge Hospital and teach at the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute and the Massachusetts Institute for Psychoanalysis. I also teach and lecture internationally on couple therapy modalities. I am also the
co- founder of the PCFINE, a couple and family training program for  clinicians, SOFAR, a program for veteran families, and numerous other pro bono clinical outreach programs.
