I am a licensed clinical psychologist located in the Back Bay. I offer individual psychotherapy to adults (18+) with a range of needs. I completed six years of supervised clinical training at several of the area's major teaching institutions and hospitals, where training is focused on the most effective means of improving behavioral health. I draw on a number of therapy approaches, including CBT and ACT for developing coping skills, and psychodynamics for gaining insight into underlying problems.
I help clients work through depression, reduce anxiety, navigate transitions, cope with trauma, and recognize patterns in their relationships. I also specialize in coping with chronic illness. My broad goal is to help clients develop greater psychological flexibility -- an essential skill for coping with distress and maintaining focus on living a meaningful life.
Before making a first appointment, I suggest that we speak on the phone at no charge to discuss how we might work together, at which time we also can review practical information concerning fees/insurance and any other questions you may have.
