Dr. Lissa Young
I help my clients by creating a safe and nonjudgmental environment to explore their concerns and hopes. I serve as an effective and respectful sounding board, offering support to navigate in times of transition, cope with loss or illness, or deal with conflict. Individuals, couples, and families come to therapy for many reasons. Often, they would like more meaningful and successful relationships with themselves or others. This investment in therapy encourages improved communication and decision-making, a better sense of self and overall contentment, and consequently a reduction in anxiety or depression.
I view therapy as a collaboration. We work as a team to build on a person's strengths and resources to co-create a road map to reach her/his goals and full potential. My style is warm, supportive, and I take an active approach to treatment.
I adapt a strategy based on a diverse blend of psychological theories, tools and skills to meet your needs. I draw on more than a decade of experience and training in traditional and holistic approaches.
