Most of us find our days manageable, but sometimes we need help. Work is often stressful, but occasionally it pushes you over the edge. Family life is often chaotic, but sometimes it just feels impossible. Relationships are often stormy, but at times you need help off the rocks.
I have worked with people of all ages, from anxious children to hard-working professionals; people from all walks of life struggling with harsh realities; people with many different kinds, and often extreme, symptoms, trying simply to manage their days. My approach is down to earth and empathic. I want to quickly put you at ease and let you know that you have arrived in a space where you can confront your challenges. My wide experience informs the discussion in a solution-oriented way. We can work this out.
My goal is to join you in a collaborative process that puts you on a path to healing. I use a combination of cognitive and dialectical behavior therapies that speak to both mind and body distress. think of therapy as an opportunity to create a calm moment of reflection -- that often involves laughter, epiphany, awakening and insight-- about just how crazy life can be.
