Sarah specializes in home-based therapy, providing individual therapy for adolescents and young adults, as well as family therapy and parent consultation. Home visits allow Sarah to work with the family to understand how the family functions and how relationships can be strengthened to benefit the child. Sarah has found therapeutic work in a natural (in-home) environment can offer opportunities not available in an office setting, such as rehearsing new strategies or meeting with different combinations of family members.
Sarah's model allows her to not only help an individual child or adolescent, but also to help the entire family understand how to better connect with and support that child or adolescent. She uses a blend of techniques that help teach coping strategies to address symptoms (for short-term relief) and identify insights (for long-term change). Sarah often meets with clients on evenings and weekends.
