Sarah Walsh

Sarah Walsh Newbury therapist

Everyone encounters problems at different points in life and many issues can be hard to overcome on your own. I have years of experience working with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, divorce, raising children, relationship and family issues. We often mistakenly believe that in order to be happy, we must struggle to overcome a long list of personal or situational flaws. I will help you discover the joyful truth; those moments are available to us now, even when we are not "perfect".

As in traditional psychotherapy, I use reflective listening supported by cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic therapies. I also bring a PsychoSpiritual (not religious) perspective to counseling. It helps to remember that "I" am something more than my thoughts.

In addition to my training in psychology, I hold a masters degree in administrative studies and have over 20 years experience in corporate settings. Clients have often found this as a helpful resource when dealing with challenges at work or for those seeking career counseling.
